Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of LocalSitesEngine websites, plans, and related services. By purchasing a plan or using our services, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: September 2, 2026
1. Services provided
LocalSitesEngine designs, builds, hosts, and maintains websites for local service businesses using a library of trade-specific templates ("the Service"). Plans include a one-time setup fee and a recurring monthly fee as described on our pricing page at the time of purchase.
2. Account and business information
You agree to provide accurate business, contact, and service-area information for use on your website. You are responsible for the accuracy of licensing claims, service descriptions, pricing, and testimonials you provide to us.
3. Payment and billing
- The setup fee is due before build work begins and is billed once per project.
- The monthly plan fee covers hosting, SSL, backups, uptime monitoring, and included maintenance, and is billed monthly starting at launch.
- Plans are billed month to month with no long-term contract; you may cancel at any time as described in Section 6.
- Failed payments may result in a temporary suspension of hosting until the account is brought current.
4. Domain and ownership
You own your business name, brand, domain registration, and the content you provide (photos, copy, reviews, logos). The website build, templates, code, design system and template imagery remain the property of LocalSitesEngine and are licensed to you, on a non-exclusive, non-transferable basis, for use on the site we build and host for you while your monthly plan is active. That licence ends when your plan ends. You agree not to copy, extract, redistribute or reuse the templates, design system or template imagery outside that site — including after cancellation — and not to make them available to any third party or use them in a competing product or service.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to publish unlawful, deceptive, or infringing content, or to misrepresent licensing, insurance, or certification status. We reserve the right to remove content that violates this policy or exposes LocalSitesEngine to legal risk.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your monthly plan at any time by contacting support. Cancellation stops future billing and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Setup fees are non-refundable once build work has begun, subject to our refund policy.
7. Lead data and privacy responsibilities
Your website collects personal information from members of the public — names, phone numbers, email addresses and the details of their enquiry. That information belongs to you. You are the controller of it and we act only as your processor, on the terms set out in our Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of these Terms.
Your responsibility. You are responsible for the lawfulness of what you collect through your site and phone line, for honouring requests from your customers to access or delete their information, and for any additional disclosures your industry or state requires. If you enable call features, you are responsible for any recording you carry out on your own equipment.
Our responsibility. We provide the disclosure tooling: every site we build ships with a privacy notice covering form submissions, call tracking and the AI receptionist, linked from every page. We do not record live phone conversations. Voicemail is recorded when a caller chooses to leave a message, and where the AI receptionist is enabled the caller is told they are speaking to a virtual assistant.
8. Copyright and material you upload
You confirm that you hold the rights to the photographs, logos and text you supply for your site. We respond to copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and will remove material in response to a valid notice. Our takedown procedure, counter-notice procedure, repeat infringer policy and designated agent are set out in our DMCA Copyright Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
LocalSitesEngine is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost leads, arising from use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding a claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated by email.
11. Contact
